Comar Cyber’s interactive Cybersecurity Awareness Course teaches corporate employees to defend against the most destructive and common types of cyberattacks. This course teaches the fundamentals of the often-ignored elements of Human Factors Cybersecurity. The course covers security threats in six main areas: social engineering, email, passwords & credentials, mobile devices, physical security, and insider threats.
This section covers the goals of the course and introduces students to the “Learn by Hacking™” scenario.
Lesson 1 – Social Engineering
Learn the tactics attackers use to trick employees into giving up passwords, access to networks, entry into restricted areas and more. Understand the ways criminals and foreign attackers manipulate their targets to illegally obtain information.
Lesson 2 – Email Security
Understand the multiple ways email systems can be abused as vectors to deliver malware to gain access to corporate networks or destroy data.
Lesson 3 – Password & Credential Security
Weak and reused passwords allow attackers to obtain unauthorized access to corporate networks. Learn the value of strong passwords, password managers, and how to resist common attacks on network credentials.
Lesson 4 – Mobile Devices
Cellphones and other mobiles devices must be secured from a range of cyberattacks. Learn about defenses from man-in-the-middle attacks, juice jacking and more.
Lesson 5 – Physical Access Security
Not all hacking starts at keyboards. Cyber criminals can obtain access to sensitive data by gaining physical access to corporate office spaces and equipment. Learn ways to defend against this threat.
Lesson 6 – Insider Threats
The most difficult cyber threat to defend against is the insider threat – someone with authorized access to data and networks who chooses to abuse their access. Study the signs of potential insider threats and how to guard against them.
